TITLE:  Mechanical Drafter l

DEPT/REQ: Engineering/459

FULL TIME, REGULAR

Duties: 

  • Work within the engineering team to create CAD designs, specify component, and develop Bill of Materials
  • Research and analyze data such as customer source control documents, specifications, and statement of work documents to determine feasibility of design.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Designers, Drafters, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customers and Suppliers on projects.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering the fabrication and assembly activities to ensure products conform to design and customer specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates, engineering change orders, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide design engineering and support during the production process including MRB evaluations and dispositions.
  • Review and become familiar with MIL-STD's, IDD specifications, and other industry standards/
  • Conduct quality checks of drawings, documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information and calculations.
  • Draft Opto-Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical drawings as required.
 Requirements:  Associates degree in Mechanical Design. Strong verbal/written communication skills required.  Must have the ability to effectively work in a team atmosphere, interacting with both internal and external customers.  SolidWorks preferred.
