REDMOND, WA (May 7, 2007 ) - IDD AEROSPACE announces recent additions to key management personnel to expand and enhance engineering design and development capabilities. Changes include the promotion of Ray L. Nicoli to Director of Engineering, the addition of Les Thorpe as Engineering Manager, and the addition an new stand alone organization focused program Management, led by Ray Moravec as Manager of Program Office.
Ray L. Nicoli brings 15 years of experience in electro-mechanical design and engineering for aerospace companies including Boeing and Rockwell Collins. As Director of Engineering he will be responsible for continuing to evolve the organization capabilities in lighting, mechanical, electrical and system engineering groups.
Les Thorpe has over 25 years of experience in avionics product design, program management, and engineering management. Mr. Thorpe’s responsibilities include primarily electrical, system and software engineering groups reporting to Mr. Nicoli.
Ray Moravec will fill the leadership role in the newly established Program Office. He has 30 years of avionics experience including electro-mechanical design, project management and program management. Mr. Moravec is responsible for managing IDDs large-scale programs and expanding program services.

IDD has recently won several large-scale contracts for the development of human-to-machine interfaces for aircraft including multiple contracts for the Boeing 787, Airbus A400M, Sukoi Superjet 100, US 101 Presidential helicopter, and the J-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
